- *Walk in the door after coming home from work*
- Mom: How was your shift?
- Me: Someone brought in a dog that had a tumor behind it's eye. The tumor was slowly leaking out around the eye, so they had to do surgery on it. They ended up having to take out the dog's eye in order to remove the tumor.
- Mom: I'm going to stop asking you that question
- accurate except mine goes
- Me: We removed part of a dogs mandible. Blood got on the ceiling. There's proably blood in my hair. It was amazing.
- Mom: What have I created?
- - haha, this is awesome; i forget sometimes when i'm talking to non-vet people...and nobody ever believes me that their dog/cat will look really cute after the enucleation heals!!

“My dad was complaining that his phone was giving him “Memory Full” messages and he couldn’t figure out why. He even spent an hour at the Verizon store arguing with the saleslady. I took a look at his phone and realized the problem: he had 877 photos of the family cat that he refused to delete. He claims they’re very important and he’d rather get a second phone for calls instead of erasing kitty pix.”

Parents are on vacation so the younger brother is on dog-sitting duty.

My cousin stayed with me for 5 days during her backpacking trip..
She caught the shuttle to the airport this morning before class.
Now I’m all depressed and home sick again T_T

Homesickness isn’t as bad when you have your dog to keep you company but the quarantine laws here are.. a little insane.
